Make a child’s holiday brighter.
By adopting a child through our Holiday Project, you’re giving a child in our community a holiday filled with comfort, dignity, and joy. Each adoption provides three gifts, one outfit, and one essential item such as a coat, shoes, or pajamas. A typical sponsorship ranges from $150–$200 per child, depending on age and wish list needs.
Once you sign up, you’ll receive a de-identified wish list. This list includes the child’s age, gender, clothing sizes, favorite colors, and a few gift ideas to help you shop with confidence, while keeping their identity protected.
Your generosity directly supports children who have experienced trauma and are currently receiving services at the CAC.

You can support our Holiday Project by donating items to stock our CAC Holiday “Store”. Advocates use these items to fulfill wish lists for families who are not adopted out directly.

Community Involvement Opportunities
It’s Everyone’s Job to Protect Children. We need your help to ensure that every child abuse victim receives every service needed to find hope and healing and that every child is Grayson County is able to receive prevention education! We want you to join the CAC team as community employee! We have a job for you, no matter your available time or resources.

Ambassador for Children
Do you know the signs and symptoms of child abuse? Do you know what to do if you suspect abuse? The CAC offers free training for adults in Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse. We can come to your office or schedule a class at the center. This 1 1/2 hour program could allow you to be the hero who rescues a child. Volunteer
Interested in a more hands-on job? Join the team as a volunteer! We have volunteer positions for every skill set! All volunteers must be over the age of 21 or a full time student, and must be able to pass a criminal background check. Learn more here.
Wish Fulfillment Specialist
The CAC is always in need of items to help us best serve children and families. Every child who comes to the center is able to take home a comfort item at their initial visit: a pillow, blanket, or stuffed animal. We accept new and gently used stuffed animals. Only new blankets and pillows are accepted. Our website wish list is updated regularly to reflect other current needs. Click here to view our wish list!
