The CAC staff is comprised of a dedicated team of experts working tirelessly to provide critical, life changing services to child victims and their families while simultaneously working to prevent future occurrences of child abuse in our community.
Our Vision: Every Child. Every Service. Every Effort.
Our Values: Children First ~ Integrity ~ Advocacy ~ Healing~ Community
Our MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) is the foundation of our model. Partnerships with public and private agencies involved in the prevention, detection, investigation, treatment and prosecution of child abuse enable us to work together to ensure restoration for child victims and their families. Children’s Advocacy Centers are the best way to get abused kids all the services they need in one centralized location and to help kids thrive.
As part of our commitment to children and providing the highest level of care, the Grayson County CAC is an Accredited Member with National Children’s Alliance. This means that we are held to specific standards to ensure that all children receive consistent, evidence-based interventions that help them heal from abuse. To become an Accredited Member of NCA we must meet the Standards for Accredited Members and verify our adherence to the highest standards of practice by submitting to NCA site review.
Children’s Advocacy Centers™ of Texas, Inc. (CACTX) is the statewide membership association representing all 71 children’s advocacy centers in the Lone Star state. While they support us in many ways, one of the most important things they provide is accountability. They monitor services, training requirements, fiscal responsibility, as well as additional standards that must be met to remain in good standing. This level of oversight ensures child victims receive the quality care they deserve when the unimaginable happens.
